Magical Use; used in many folk practises bayberry has been known to attract money, either by carrying some of the bark or dried berries as an amulet, and or also tucking a leaf in your purse or wallet.
Candle magic was performed using the wax from the berries which was extracted by boiling the berries and skimming the wax off the top of the liquid, then formed into candles. Many meditate for success of abundance.
This herb is also great to treat colds and sore throats but use in small doses. As an oil it can be used externally for arthritis and rheumatism
